why do women only wear scarves and never jewelry on the streets of paris?
Are they afraid of being mugged? Is it a class thing? I’m not sure I understand it. I’m in my 50s and always wear some kind of jewelry in the states, but I’ve only seen women wear necklaces when out to dinner in paris.
Plenty of women wear jewelry (I’m one of them). What they don’t wear is big flashy ones which are prefered – as you noticed – for evening wear. Check for small bracelets, rings, nice watches, earrings.
